Singapore plays a pivotal role in the world of international trade with over 400 global, regional, and local commodities players across the entire value chain located here, and thirty percent of Asia’s trade being conducted through Singapore. Commodity trading is an indispensable pillar of its economy, driving job creation and demand for ancillary services.
Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is launching Asia’s first Nanyang Professional MBA (PMBA) programme specialising in International Trading to grow the talent pool for the trading sector and train experienced professionals in commodity and wholesale trade to lead effectively across markets and cultures.
Designed in close consultation with industry leaders and with the support of Enterprise Singapore to ensure direct relevance to industry requirements and challenges, the Nanyang PMBA (International Trading) offers a holistic education that develops cross-cultural intelligence, knowledge of emerging technologies, awareness of sustainability and regulatory issues, and the ability to manage opportunities and risks in the dynamic global trading environment.

Held on alternate weekends over 18 months, the programme will be delivered across 20 high-impact modules. In addition to the 14 core modules of the Nanyang PMBA programme, candidates in the International Trading track will complete six specialisation electives that focus in depth on key roles, responsibilities, and challenges unique to the international trading sector.
