Associate Professor Hooi Den Huan has been awarded an IMM Honorary Fellowship for his support and contribution towards the growth and development of the Asian Marketing Federation (AMF) and the Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM) over the years.
AMF is the umbrella body for 17 national marketing associations from Asia which includes IMM, the national non-profit professional body for sales and marketing professionals in Malaysia. Since 1998, he has been serving in the Executive board of the AMF Foundation.
The Honorary Fellowship is the most distinguished among the Fellow categories and is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of global marketing. Only three Honorary Fellowships were conferred this year.
‘’I am truly honoured to receive this award and trust that this award is also a recognition of the standing of Nanyang Business School and Nanyang Technological University.” says Associate Professor Hooi.
Associate Professor Hooi received the award from Her Royal Highness, the Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, at the IMM-AMF Fellowship Awards event on 23 March 2019.
At the AMF 2019 Conference, Associate Professor Hooi also launched his new book Asian Competitors: Marketing for Competitiveness in the Age of Digital Consumers, which was co-authored with Professor Philip Kotler and Pak Hermawan Kartajaya. They have previously written four bestselling books together – Rethinking Marketing (2003), Think ASEAN! (2007), Think New ASEAN! (2015) and Marketing for Competitiveness (2017) and have started writing their sixth book, Omni Marketing.
